Röthel becomes sustainable: Start of the sustainability process in line with the criteria of the Deutsche Nachhaltigkeitskodex (German Sustainability Code DNK)

Generation change: After more than 50 years, Klaus Röthel hands over the management of the company to his son-in-law Jörg Heinemann (Chairman of the Management Board) an his son Tim Röthel (Managing Director). His daughter, Nina Heinemann, has joined the company as a shareholder.

Tim Röthel strengthens the management team.

Röthel worldwide:
Röthel opens its sales office in Dublin (Ireland).

New technology:
An inline flexographic printing unit with a width of 330 cm is launched.

Röthel opens its sales office in Cleveland, OH (USA).

New building in Neumünster (Germany):
Production in Schleswig-Holstein moves into a newly constructed, state-of-the-art production facility.

Wide webs:
The first 3x co-extrusion plant commences operations, producing webs with a width of up to 330 cm.

Röthel worldwide:
Röthel opens its sales office in Singapore.

Röthel opens its sales office in London.

New technology, new products: PE extrusion coating is launched.

Generation change: Klaus Röthel, also a paper engineer, takes over the company as the Managing Director.

The Bochum plant is inaugurated.

Paper engineer Otto-Ernst Röthel founds a production facility for waterproof packaging materials and roofing felt in Neumünster, Germany: Röthel GmbH & Co. KG.
